Account Executive – Outdoor Advertising

We are looking for an energetic Account Executive to join our sales team in Collinsville, Illinois, serving St. Charles, MO and surrounding areas.

A day in the life
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports.
  • Target businesses in the assigned area and visit each established Lamar client as well as competitor clients.
  • Maintain working knowledge of local and national competition.
  • Cluster accounts for efficient work.
  • Identify potential growth areas and open new accounts.
  • Use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, prepare proposals and presentations.
  • Develop presentation skills using computer tools and present to clients regularly.
  • Develop new product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars and trade shows.
  • Perform administrative duties such as maintaining sales plans, following up on client production orders, and keeping organized records.

Education and experience
  • Current and valid driver’s license required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Previous outdoor advertising sales experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CRM experience preferred.
Physical demands and work environment
  • Work environment combines office and field; light lifting, reading, visual acuity, standing, speaking, turning, and walking.
  • Less than 10% nights away from home traveling.
