The Electric Heat business, part of ASPEQ Heating Group, is a trusted leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, offering products such as baseboard, wall, unit, and infrared heaters, along with ceiling fans and air circulators.

As a Welder, you will perform welding operations to assemble and secure sheet metal for electrical and industrial equipment, following engineering drawings and specifications.

• Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications.
• Welds or tack welds metal parts together, using TIG welding, MIG welding, or spot welding equipment.
• Removes rough spots from work pieces using grinder, sander, or saw.
• MAY be trained and tested to be ASME certified.

Required Experience:

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to correctly read a tape measure.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of TIG welding, MIG welding, and spot welding equipment and techniques.

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• TIG welding, MIG welding, and stick welding certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Physical requirements:
  
  regular standing, use of hands, ability to walk and talk, occasional sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, electrical shock risk, and loud noise.
