Maintenance Technician
Hours are Sunday night – Friday morning, 10:00pm–6:00am with some overtime required. Pay for this position is $34.52 per hour and will include a $2 per hour shift differential.
Responsibilities- Work independently and use judgment to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and building systems under limited supervision.
- Perform preventive maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and other predictive maintenance actions.
- Diagnose mechanical problems, determine corrections, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as needed.
- Repair machines, equipment, or building systems using precision measuring instruments or electrical/electronic testing devices.
- Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers, wiring, and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Repair machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
- Provide support for die maintenance and troubleshooting roll forming equipment.
- Install, program, and repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
- Operate cutting torch or welding equipment.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
- Perform housekeeping, 5‑S, and other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Attain ACT Work Keys Assessment at certified job profile skill level.
- Six months of experience in industrial maintenance; or a combination of technical school degree, craft certification, or completion of maintenance skills/craft courses and experience in industrial maintenance.
- Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance or technical school degree.
- Five or more years of experience in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, machinist, and/or related fields.
- Working knowledge of drawing software such as AutoCAD.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, designing, and fabricating parts.
- Experience in the diagnostics and repair of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and/or robotics.
