Driver Class A

Clean Harbors in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Class A CDL Driver / Hazmat & Tanker / Equipment Operator to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites. The role involves driving and non‑driving duties for hazardous waste clean‑up.

Note:

new hires must attend a two‑week Academy training out of state – expenses are covered and it is paid training.

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Perform manual labor on site to fulfill customer needs.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and reports.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT and other regulations.
• Observe all corporate operating guidelines and environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week, if required.
• Perform site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials, if required.

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position.
• Meet facial hair standards per OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard when respirators are required.

• Commercial driver experience.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
• Previous Hazmat experience.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Previous manual labor experience.
