3rd Shift Warehouse LeadSt. Joseph, MO $18-$24/hr Dependent on Experience
We are seeking a motivated 3rd Shift Warehouse Lead to join our team in a fast-paced cold storage environment. This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for individuals looking to grow their career in warehouse operations.
Entry-level leadership candidates are welcome to apply, but applicants must have 1-3 years of warehouse experience and forklift operating experience.?
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support overnight warehouse team members
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently (sit-down and/or stand-up)
- Oversee receiving, picking, packing, and shipping operations
- Ensure inventory accuracy and proper product rotation (FIFO)
- Maintain safety and compliance standards, especially in cold storage conditions
- Train and mentor new team members
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments
- Assist with troubleshooting workflow or staffing issues during shift
- 1-3 years of warehouse experience required
- Forklift experience required (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work overnight shifts consistently
- Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer skills for inventory systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in cold storage or food distribution
- Experience leading small teams
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
