The Rental Sales Associate will act as the front‑line sales agent for the rental of vehicles to the Company’s current lease and commercial rental accounts, potential commercial rental customers, and consumer household needs. The role requires cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Asset Management while utilizing excellent customer communication skills.
Essential Functions- Facilitate the rental, lease, and used vehicle sales for the Company’s accounts and prospective customers.
- Work cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Asset Management to execute the business unit’s marketing plan.
- Handle inbound sales calls and outbound solicitation.
- Maintain accurate data in the company’s marketing database.
- Generate rental, lease, and used vehicle sales leads.
- Maintain and expand relationships with the existing customer base.
- Maximize operational effectiveness by coordinating inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Drive profitable revenue growth through strong customer relationships.
- Ensure overall satisfaction for all internal and external customers.
- Reconcile all customer concerns, issues, and disputes to maintain ongoing relationships.
- Maintain composure when addressing stressful situations.
- Clearly articulate Ryder’s product and service offerings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong interpersonal, customer relations, and problem‑solving skills with the proven ability to effectively organize tasks and manage time.
- Proficient with PC applications.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Comfortable driving large vehicles, including 28‑foot straight trucks and tractors with standard transmission and hydraulic or air brakes, in congested areas.
- Willingness to work shifts and weekends when required.
- Bilingual language skills are an asset.
- High‑school diploma required.
- Two or more years of experience in marketing or sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or marketing is preferred.
