What you will experience in this position:
- Support the preparation, reconciliation, filing, and payment of sales and use tax returns across all North American entities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Prepare and file annual property tax returns, and process and pay property tax assessments and bills for all North American entities.
- Manage sales tax permit renewals and customer sales tax exemptions using Vertex software.
- Collaborate daily with internal customer service and collections teams to research and resolve customer tax questions.
- Assist with state and local tax audits and contribute to miscellaneous state and local tax reporting projects.
- A degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience, with 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Foundational knowledge of sales, use, and property tax processes in the U.S.; experience with Canada is preferred.
- Familiarity with Vertex tax software is a plus; experience with Oracle, JD Edwards, Infor M3, Epicor, and/or Esker is also helpful.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working across teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests independently.
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:
$62,900.00 - $
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
