Accountant, Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst

Our client, a growing and well-established organization in the west metro, is seeking an Accountant to join its collaborative finance team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to expand beyond traditional accounting responsibilities into financial analysis, reporting, process improvement, and systems enhancement.

Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, you'll play a key role in month‑end close, financial reporting, business analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering with leaders across the organization. The position also supports customer accounting and revenue operations as part of a well‑rounded accounting function.

• Assist with month‑end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
• Prepare financial reports, analyze trends, variances, and business performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Partner with department leaders to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
• Assist with external audits, tax support, and internal controls.
• Help drive process improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements, including business intelligence and ERP initiatives.
• Participate in the implementation and enhancement of financial reporting tools.
• Support customer accounting activities, including billing, account reconciliations, revenue‑related transactions, and collection efforts, while partnering with customers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Contribute to special projects and strategic finance initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (Associate's degree with relevant experience will also be considered).
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, FP&A, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and the month‑end close process.
• Experience with ERP systems (Epicor or similar preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical abilities.
• Experience with financial reporting or business intelligence tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
