Job Description
Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Day Bridge Partial Hospital Coordinator to join our Behavioral Health team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position SummaryThe purpose of this position is to provide program reception, client scheduling, referral administration, registration, medical record and other administrative support services to a designated area; and to perform related duties as assigned. This role serves as a resource for clients, program staff, and providers regarding insurance coverage and benefits, referral/authorization requirements, coordination of benefits, and preferred provider/care networks. The coordinator must possess a high degree of public contact skills with adult clients.
MajorJob Duties and Tasks
- Provide immediate attention to inquiries in person at the front desk as people arrive and answer telephone calls promptly.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate internal and external referral/authorization processes.
- Manage medical record responsibilities.
- Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed.
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Required QualificationsEducation and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Meeting one of the following (preferred):
- Graduate of a formal training program in medical reception, an equivalent program, or a customer service program.
- Two years of experience as a medical receptionist.
- Two years of experience in a customer service position.
- Two years of experience in medical insurance or patient billing.
- Preferred experience with Epic registration and scheduling.
- Preferred experience with medical insurance and prior authorizations.
- Basic computer and keyboard proficiency required.
- Demonstrated customer service skills required.
- Effective communication skills by telephone and in person.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Teamwork with co‑workers, providers, and customers.
- Organizational skills under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and interruptions.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Exceptional customer service skills (internal and external).
- Systematic and skillful response to telephone calls and customer requests.
- Verbal and written English proficiency.
