About the Role
As an Assistant Director at Kinder Care Learning Companies, you will support center operations and educational programs. You will partner with parents, cultivate relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, and community partners, and serve in various roles as needed, including teacher, cook, or driver.
Responsibilities- Assist the Center Director in leading teaching staff and supporting families.
- Help achieve enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives.
- Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
- Serve in various center roles as needed, including teacher, cook, and driver.
- At least two years of early childhood education experience.
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and ability to apply them in the classroom.
- Excellent administrative, organizational, verbal, listening, and communication skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Comply with state‑specific guidelines for the role.
- Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
- Able to assume postures that allow physical and visual contact with children and engage in physical activity.
- Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.
- Indicate if reasonable accommodation is required to perform essential job functions.
Hourly pay range: $20.20 – $23.55. In Minnesota, an additional $3.00 per hour premium is provided for classroom hours through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
