Overview

Manpower Engineering is partnering with a leader in the glass manufacturing industry for a Quality Engineer.

Job Title:

Quality Engineer

Location:

St. Louis Park, MN (ONSITE)

Pay: $85,000 - $130,000 total compensation (includes monthly profit sharing)

PURPOSE OF

THE ROLE:

This Quality Engineer will ensure consistent product quality across the company’s nationwide operations by leading internal audits, strengthening quality systems, validating production capabilities, and supporting customers with technical expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Quality Leadership & Internal Support
    • Lead and coordinate internal quality audit program.
    • Serve as subject matter expert for quality control topics.
    • Work closely with plant quality managers on best practices.
    • Validate plant capabilities against customer specifications.
    • Collaborate with IT to enhance quality data systems.
  • Customer & External Interaction
    • Act as a primary quality liaison for national accounts.
    • Support customers, architects, and homeowners with technical questions.
    • Engage with external organizations (ASTM, NGA, SGCC).
  • Continuous Improvement & Projects
    • Lead cross-functional quality projects.
    • Support R&D and pilot production as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in quality management, engineering, statistics, or another relevant field.
  • 4-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of quality methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, ISO) and statistics (MSA, PPAP, capability analysis, SPC).
  • Experience in glass, windows, doors, or associated industries a plus.
  • Power BI or similar tool experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safety and an orderly and safe workplace.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, internally and externally with our customers, suppliers, and industry organizations.
  • Time management skills with the ability to plan and track multiple projects over months.
  • Ability to communicate complicated concepts in writing and in person.
  • Ability to travel to company and customer facilities, installation / testing sites, and industry meetings / events (approx. 10-25%).
