Financial Advisor / Consultant, Financial Sales, Wealth Management
Role Summary
Help clients and prospects identify financial goals and needs through a holistic financial planning approach, providing investment, insurance, brokerage, advisory, and related wealth solutions. This role partners closely with branch teams and Wealth Management colleagues to deepen existing relationships, build new client relationships, and grow an established Minnesota territory. The position offers an existing book of business, branch referral support, and access to a full suite of financial planning, investment, and insurance solutions.
KeyAccountabilities
- Advise clients and prospects by analyzing financial needs and objectives and recommending appropriate investment, insurance, advisory, and financial planning solutions.
- Use financial planning principles and tools, including Money Guide Pro, as the foundation for client profiling and planning conversations.
- Grow an existing book of business by developing new relationships through bank referrals, non-bank resources, proactive business development, and networking.
- Partner with branch teams, Private Banking, Personal Trust, and other Wealth Management colleagues to deliver coordinated solutions for clients.
- Maintain strong knowledge of investment products, insurance strategies, economic trends, capital markets, and the financial needs of the client segment served.
- Operate in full compliance with internal policies, procedures, applicable regulations, and laws.
- Achieve business objectives related to advisory business, financial planning, insurance, production, revenue growth, and other key performance metrics.
- Complete transaction documentation accurately and timely, while helping resolve trade processing or service-related issues.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance.
- 3+ years of investment and insurance sales experience.
- Trailing production of $250,000–$400,000 from an existing, significant book of business.
- Demonstrated advisory or fee-based business development experience.
- Life, Health, and Variable Insurance License.
- Series 7 license.
- Series 63, Series 66, or Series 65 license.
- Must have access to reliable transportation and the ability to lawfully drive self, if applicable.
Preferred:
- 5+ years of investment and insurance sales experience.
- Trailing production of $400,000 from an existing, significant book of business.
- Demonstrated financial planning skill set and advisory business development experience.
- Existing securities licenses, including Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, or Series 66.
- Bank financial advisor experience.
- Wealth management background and industry connections.
- Certified Financial Planner designation.
- Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

CompensationThis role offers a commissions‑based structure that includes a monthly draw equaling $48,000.00 per year plus generous commissions that increase based on sales volume achieved.
