The Automotive Finance and Insurance Manager is a full-time, on-site role located at Luther Westside Volkswagen in St Louis Park, MN. This role is responsible for guiding guests through financing and insurance options, presenting products clearly, and ensuring all terms are fully understood before purchase. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing finance documents, submitting deals to lenders, securing approvals, and accurately finalizing contracts and related paperwork.
The Finance and Insurance Manager will work closely with the sales team to structure deals, maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, and uphold dealership policies. The role also involves tracking finance and product performance, maintaining strong relationships with lending partners, and contributing to an exceptional guest experience that supports dealership sales and profitability goals.
- Experience in automotive finance and insurance, including preparing loan documents, explaining finance and protection products, and finalizing contracts.
- Strong sales and customer service skills with the ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and present options in a straightforward, guest-focused manner.
- Solid understanding of lending practices, credit applications, and compliance requirements related to automotive finance and insurance.
- Proficiency with dealership management systems, finance software, and basic office tools for accurate data entry and documentation.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deals in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with sales, service, and management teams to support overall dealership performance.
- Prior experience in an automotive dealership F&I role or related finance/sales position is strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to support dealership operations.
