The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $26.39 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Credit Balance Specialist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Credit Balance Specialist, you will coordinate, process, and audit accounts to determine posting errors and over payments and takes corrective action to ensure account accuracy.

This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week during standard corporate business hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

(80%) Credit Balance Support

• Analyzes each credit balance to determine root cause and establishes a plan of action
• Takes action on all payer and patient refund requests
• Posts the appropriate adjustments to correct any errors that were created during receipt and adjustment posting to resolve the credit balance
• Ensures appropriate documentation of refunds recorded on individual accounts
• Completes refund requests for patient and payers when over payments occur within the timeline established by accounts payable and according to month end guidelines
• Coordinates the supporting documentation required to accompany the refund

(10%) Revenue Cycle Management Support

• Responds to customer service inquiries related to refund requests
• Assists with month-end posting of payments when directed

(10%) Performs other duties as assigned

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years medical business office experience or a graduate of a medical billing program
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and previous data entry experience
