Job Description
Park Nicollet is looking to hire a RN to join our Oncology team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position SummaryCoordinates total nursing care for patients. Provides nursing leadership by working cooperatively with physicians, oncology staff, ancillary staff of other programs/departments and other personnel to maintain professional nursing practice standards in a complex oncology environment. Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating complex assessment, evaluation, diagnosis for oncology patients in accordance with professional standards, the Nurse Practice Act, and Park Nicollet Health Services policies.
Participates in patient and family education.
Monday - Friday, typical hours 8:30AM – 5:00PM. No weekends, no holidays.
Required Qualifications- Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
- BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
- 2 - 3 years RN experience.
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of our adult oncology patients.
- Oncology RN experience.
- Preferred certification in oncology nursing and participation in the chemotherapy/biotherapy course through ONS is helpful in performing this job
- OCN preferred.
