Building Services Associate - Part Time

Location: Era on Excelsior - Saint Louis Park, MN - 550 Units

Hours: Saturdays and Sundays 1:30pm-10:00pm

Pay Range: $18.00 – $20.00

Job Summary: The Building Services Associate is a key member of the property management team, providing superior customer service to residents, vendors, and co‑workers, and monitoring the premises for disturbances, lockouts, or infractions.

• Provide excellent customer service with a professional and service‑oriented demeanor.
• Light cleaning of bathrooms, party rooms, dog wash, and pool areas.
• Close down pool area and party rooms each evening at both properties.
• Assist with technology in party rooms, fitness on demand, and vending areas.
• Check‑out/return lawn games.
• Assist residents with package pick‑ups, reserving and accessing amenities, and general customer service needs.
• Circulate among visitors and residents to create a feeling of hospitality and strong resident support.
• Efficiently handle and resolve resident or vendor concerns or requests for assistance.
• Control and secure building key system, including providing co‑workers and vendors with key access.
• Patrol and monitor building premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Provide safe escort for individuals when requested.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Assist in investigations of any unusual incidents and assess situations for appropriate escalation to Property Management and/or police or fire department in cases of emergency.
• Keep Property Management aware of any and all issues on or near the property.
• Travel for required trainings, meetings, and company events.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Experience in law enforcement or building security is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Skills and Abilities:

• Fluent in English with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to use tact and diplomacy in a clear, courteous manner when dealing with co‑workers and the public.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Maintain a calm demeanor when handling stressful situations.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
