Position Available: AV and Pro Video Systems Installation Technician

If you have a passion for audio and video equipment, enjoy hands‑on work, and want to make a real impact at a small company, Z Systems is looking for an installation and integration technician. You will install, test, repair, document, and train users on audiovisual, professional video production systems, editing systems, and storage solutions.

• Work under the direction of integration and engineering managers on AV and video installation projects.
• Interface with customers, other technicians, and sales staff to identify and resolve issues as they arise.
• Pull low‑voltage cables, wire them, and attach connectors for video, audio, and data.
• Perform computer work on Mac and Windows platforms as needed.
• Research and train on new industry trends, products, and programs.
• Document hours and activities and edit design drawings to produce accurate as‑built drawings.
• Complete approximately 90% of work within the Twin Cities Metropolitan area; some out‑of‑state assignments may be required.

• Technical aptitude and interest in the AV and professional video marketplace.
• Manual dexterity and the ability to work with hands.
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for learning and performing a variety of tasks.

• Post‑secondary education in a related field.
• Professional video or film production, or post‑production experience.
• Ability to solder low‑voltage (primarily audio) cables.

This full‑time position offers a salary based on experience and qualifications, paid vacation, paid sick leave, health care, and a Simple IRA retirement plan.
