Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a dynamic healthcare organization in Saint Louis, Missouri. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to manage high-volume financial transactions and payroll processing in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively handle accounts payable and payroll tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

- Handle complete accounts payable processes, including data entry, coding, invoice matching, and check runs for up to 200 invoices weekly.

- Process bi-weekly payroll for a workforce of up to 500 employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments while adhering to company policies.

- Maintain and update financial records, reconciling any discrepancies to ensure proper documentation.

- Address inquiries related to invoices and payroll, providing timely solutions to internal and external stakeholders.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company procedures in all accounting and payroll activities.

- Collaborate with internal teams to support financial operations and improve efficiency.

- Utilize accounting and payroll software to streamline processes and improve accuracy.

- Monitor financial transactions to ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

- Prepare reports and documentation as needed to support audits and financial reviews. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in both accounts payable and payroll functions.

- Proficiency in using accounting and payroll software to manage high-volume transactions.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

- Familiarity with account reconciliation and invoice processing.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business is preferred but not mandatory.

- Excellent problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
