Job Description
This position supports a construction-focused billing environment during a period of systems transition and operational realignment. The role will primarily own invoice generation and billing accuracy while supporting greater reporting visibility as billing is consolidated into a shared services model. The successful candidate is expected to contribute immediately, helping relieve existing team members who are currently stretched across multiple responsibilities. While there may be limited exposure to progress billing, the majority of the work involves straightforward, high-volume invoicing using Quick Books and Vista.
Responsibilities
+ Generate invoices accurately and efficiently in a high-volume environment.
+ Ensure billing accuracy and support reporting visibility.
+ Manage recurring tasks independently with minimal supervision.
+ Contribute immediately to relieve existing team members across multiple responsibilities.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in billing/invoicing, preferably in construction or project-based environments.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to billing accuracy.
+ Ability to work independently and manage recurring, high-volume tasks.
+ Professional communication and workplace polish.
+
Experience with accounting or billing systems.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ Quick Books experience preferred.
+ Exposure to Vista or other construction ERPs is a plus.
+ Basic understanding of accounting fundamentals (AR, billing cycles).
+ Non-degreed candidates welcome; a degree is a plus, not a requirement.
+ Accounting degree preferred but not mandatory.
Work Environment
The work environment is laid-back yet practical, reflecting a construction culture. The small team offers direct exposure to the CFO, and the role follows a steady onsite schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 to 5.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
