Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Saint Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will manage key accounting functions, oversee financial processes, and support property and facility managers with critical reporting and record-keeping tasks. This position provides an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in financial analysis and leadership while working in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

- Manage invoice preparation and ensure accurate entry, coding, and submission within the accounting system.

- Maintain and oversee financial transaction records, including verifying and posting details from documents such as invoices, receipts, and sales slips.

- Prepare and review expense reports, ensuring compliance with established procedures and policies.

- Compile and analyze financial data to produce reports on cash flow, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other relevant metrics.

- Supervise and provide guidance to Accounting Coordinators and Accountants, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to best practices.

- Handle accounts payable or accounts receivable functions, including billing, data entry, budgeting, and payroll processes.

- Ensure proper maintenance and updating of ledgers, financial summaries, and computer-based reports.

- Oversee additional accounting and record-keeping tasks as assigned to support organizational needs. Requirements - Proficiency in month-end close processes, including general ledger and journal entries.

- Strong skills in account reconciliation and payment processing.

- Experience with expense reporting and daily cash receipt management.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

- Familiarity with Workday Financial Management or similar accounting systems.

- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to support strategic decision-making.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
