Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will lead complex accounting activities and support teams in overseeing the monthly close and financial reporting processes. This role is responsible for managing and reviewing journal entries, account analyses, and reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial statements. Operating with a high degree of independence, the Senior Accountant provides technical accounting expertise, supports audit readiness, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee month‑end close activities, including review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Perform and review complex account and financial statement analyses to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance.
- Serve as a key point of contact for cross‑functional teams to validate financial data and resolve accounting issues.
- Maintain, enhance, and document financial reporting controls in compliance with SOX 404 requirements.
- Review financial data and analyses for management reporting, presentations, and decision support.
- Research and apply US GAAP and regulatory guidance to complex accounting matters and transactions.
- Support internal and external audits, including coordination of audit requests and review of supporting documentation.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
- Participate in special projects and other assignments as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Ability to operate independently and manage complex accounting matters with minimal oversight.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with large‑scale ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and judgment skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
