Kforce's client, a growing organization located in the Saint Louis, MO area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support its general ledger and month-end close processes. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of complex accounts, and partners well across teams. The position will be 100 percent fully in the office, flexibility will be available when needed. Duties:

• Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual close
• Own balance sheet accounts, including timely and accurate reconciliations
• Analyze variances and resolve reconciling items
• Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
• Assist with technical accounting documentation and GAAP compliance
• Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and special projects
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or public accounting experience a plus
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience
• Solid knowledge of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with Net Suite or similar ERP preferred
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
