Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

A Kforce client in the Saint Louis, MO area is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role supports the finance function by handling full‑cycle accounting responsibilities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The position is heavily involved in month‑end and year‑end close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements.

The Company is in major growth mode! Duties:

• Senior Accountant will prepare and review bank reconciliations while managing weekly cash activity
• Record and post journal entries as needed to maintain accurate financials
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts through data analysis and reporting
• Execute month‑end and year‑end close activities in a timely manner
• As a Senior Accountant, you will maintain and reconcile all balance sheet accounts
• Analyze financial trends, costs, revenues, and obligations to support projections and decision‑making

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
• 3‑4 years of accounting experience required;
  Public accounting a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experienced with accounting systems and adaptable to new tools
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate, follow direction, and manage conflict effectively
• Results‑driven with the ability to meet/exceed goals and motivate others

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
