Role DescriptionThe Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. This position will be responsible for performing reconciliations, managing the month‑end close process, participating in budgeting and forecasting activities, and overseeing the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will collaborate with the Controller on process improvements and an ERP implementation project.
The role also includes handling various ad‑hoc tasks as needed.
- Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Manage the month‑end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, and financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and analysis.
- Oversee the AR/AP functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions and resolving any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the Controller to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Support the ERP re‑implementation project, including system configuration, testing, and user training.
- Assist in the onboarding and integration of a new inventory software package, ensuring seamless transition and alignment with existing systems.
- Perform various ad‑hoc financial analysis and tasks as required by the Controller or senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with a focus on reconciliations, month‑end close, and AR/AP management. Public Accounting experience is a plus.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software; experience with ERP implementation is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with Datacor ERP and/or Microsoft Business Central a plus.
