Senior Accountant or Cost Accountant

Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a Senior Accountant or a Cost Accountant. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment. This position will be 100% in the office full-time. The client offers

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and support monthly close activities (journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, variance analysis)

* Analyze and reconcile inventory, cost accounting, and sub-ledgers across multiple entities

* Partner with leadership to support global financial reporting (US GAAP + statutory requirements)

* Manage intercompany accounting, including foreign currency transactions across global locations

* Oversee fixed assets and capital expenditure tracking, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

* Support tax compliance in coordination with external advisors

* Assist with audit processes and regulatory reporting

* Drive process improvements, standardization, and internal controls enhancements

* Support ERP initiatives and system implementations

* Participate in cross-functional projects, including M&A activities and corporate finance initiatives
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred

* 3-5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing or a product-based environment

* Experience with standard costing and/or inventory accounting strongly preferred

* Solid understanding of US GAAP;
International or technical accounting exposure a plus

* Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude, Oracle, (ERP experience preferred)

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage competing priorities
