Description
Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to process invoices, maintain vendor records, and support day-to-day accounting operations. This role also assists with basic accounting functions, including reconciliations and journal entries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow within an accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities- Process and code vendor invoices for payment
- Assist with check runs, ACH payments, and vendor inquiries
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation
- Support month‑end close activities and account reconciliations
- Prepare basic journal entries and assist with general accounting tasks
- Perform data entry and other administrative accounting duties as needed
- 1–3 years of accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting experience preferred
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
