Senior Accountant

Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a Senior Accountant.

Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and analysis across assigned business areas. This role will play a key part in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and driving actionable insights for leadership. This position will be in the St. Louis, MO area hybrid, 3 days in office, and 2 days remote flexibility can be discussed.

Duties:

* Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals

* Deliver meaningful financial analysis and explain key variances to leadership

* Partner cross-functionally to provide real-time insights that drive decisions

* Analyze performance across business units, products, and customers

* Support audit, tax, and regulatory reporting initiatives

* Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiency

* Mentor junior staff and help elevate team performance
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting + 2+ years of experience

* Strong GAAP knowledge; CPA is a plus

* Analytical mindset with the ability to connect numbers to strategy

* Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment

* Strong communicator who can influence and collaborate across teams
