Accounting Associate

Kforce's client, a growing and fast-paced organization is seeking an Accounting Associate to support general ledger activities, month-end close, and core accounting operations.

This role offers strong exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement within a dynamic environment. This position will be on-site full-time in the Saint Louis, MO area.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain general ledger and record daily financial transactions, including AP, cash activity, and journal entries

* Support month-end close, including reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting

* Perform daily reconciliation of trading positions and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy

* Manage accounts payable processes, including vendor onboarding, coding, and 1099 reporting

* Partner with external accounting providers (fund administrators) on close activities

* Assist with audit preparation and provide support during external audits

* Review employee expense reimbursements for policy compliance

* Execute cash transfers and support treasury activities

* Assist with internal compliance reviews and documentation

* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

* 0-2 years of accounting or finance experience (internship experience acceptable)

* Understanding of GAAP principles

* Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

* High attention to detail and accuracy

* Effective written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
