Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking an AP Specialist. The Accounts Payable is responsible for the payment of goods and services purchased by the organization. This role ensures that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed for the purchasing and payment of goods and services.
- Review and verify calculations of incoming billings, match invoices with purchase orders and statements. Check authorization and signatures
- Detecting mistakes as they arise and rectifying discrepancies
- Post entries to accounting system
- Reconcile bills and statements, may prepare 1099's, and reports
- Process checks or Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) for payment of bills
- Maintain positive vendor relationships and inter‑department communications
- Prepare documentation for external auditors and maintain vendor database
- Other essential job functions may exist that are not listed here
- High School diploma/GED or 1‑3 years of experience in accounts payable/receivable
- 2 years of Oracle ERP experience
- Good understanding of accounting terminology
- Oracle Fusion experience is highly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Financial systems
- General Math skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
- Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Strong Customer Service skills (internal & external)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
