Responsibilities
Our Kforce client located in the Saint Louis, MO area seeks an Assistant Controller to serve as the financial leader to drive accounting excellence. The position will be working on a hybrid schedule.
- Lead day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger, close, debt, equity, treasury, and financial reporting
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Analyze complex accounting matters, including acquisitions and technical accounting issues
- Oversee and develop a high‑performing accounting team of 4 to 6 individuals
- Strengthen internal controls and financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Partner cross‑functionally with tax, treasury, and operations teams
- Evaluate financial results, trends, and variances to support business decisions
- Stay current on accounting standards and recommend process improvements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required;
Master's preferred - CPA required
- 7+ years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and exposure to SEC reporting; purchase accounting experience preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP experience with systems
- Proven ability to analyze complex issues and drive solutions
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
Note:
Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
