Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a growing organization in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role offers strong visibility to leadership and the opportunity to drive process improvements and efficiencies across the function. The position is hybrid and located in the Saint Louis, MO area, with a great salary and benefits in a collaborative, team‑focused environment.

  • Own and manage month‑end close and financial statement preparation
  • Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP/standards
  • Develop, implement, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Analyze financial performance and identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Partner cross‑functionally to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Prepare and present financial reports and insights to leadership
  • Drive process improvements and cost‑saving initiatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation and accounting records
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA preferred, BIG4 experience, public accounting or combo is a plus
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, including management/leadership
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with accounting systems and Excel Proven leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively
Compensation & Benefits

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
