Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Kforce has a client in the Saint Louis, MO area that is seeking an Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to contribute to day-to-day financial operations, support the month-end and year-end close process, prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, and help ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

* Accountant will perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close

* Maintain accurate financial records and support financial reporting

* Manage cash activity, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounts

* Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and support forecasting efforts

* As an Accountant, you will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate expense reporting and compliance with internal controls

* Contribute to process improvements and ensure timely completion of accounting activities
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA preferred

* 2+ years of progressive accounting experience;
Public accounting experience is a plus

* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems

* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

* Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines

* Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams
