Senior Accountant

Kforce is partnering with a client in the Saint Louis, MO area to identify a Senior Accountant to join their team. This individual will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the accounting department by supporting a variety of accounting, financial reporting, and operational functions, while also serving as backup support for other accounting positions as needed.

Responsibilities:

* Support month-end close activities, financial reporting, and account reconciliations

* Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy

* Assist with payroll, fixed assets, expense management, and audit support functions

* Provide reporting, system support, and cross-functional accounting assistance as needed

* Help maintain compliance with internal controls, company procedures, and accounting processes

* Support operational and administrative functions, including training and backup coverage for accounting staff
* Bachelor's degree in Business with Accounting/Finance emphasis

* Strong organizational skills

* Detail oriented

* Advanced Excel skills

* 15% travel required

Preferred

Skills:

* 5+ years of accounting experience preferred

* Knowledge of Viewpoint is a plus
