Group Assistant Controller

Our Kforce client, located in the Saint Louis, MO area, seeks an Assistant Controller to serve as the financial leader to drive accounting excellence. Key Responsibilities:

* Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, close, debt, equity, treasury, and financial reporting

* Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP

* Analyze complex accounting matters, including acquisitions and technical accounting issues

* Oversee and develop a high-performing accounting team of 4 to 6 individuals

* Strengthen internal controls and financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy

* Partner cross-functionally with tax, treasury, and operations teams

* Evaluate financial results, trends, and variances to support business decisions

* Stay current on accounting standards and recommend process improvements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting required;
Master's preferred

* CPA required

* 7+ years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting

* Strong knowledge of GAAP and exposure to SEC reporting;
Purchase accounting experience preferred

* Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP experience with systems

* Proven ability to analyze complex issues and drive solutions

* Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills

* Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization
