Our client, a leading educational and non-profit organization, is seeking a Financial and Tax Reporting Manager to join their team. As a Financial and Tax Reporting Manager, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the organization’s financial integrity and compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?- Lead and oversee all aspects of non-payroll tax reporting and external financial reporting processes.
- Prepare work papers for annual audits, tax returns, and compliance reports, including IRS Form 990, Form 5500, and college reporting to IPEDs and the Higher Learning Commission.
- Supervise the preparation of tax returns for nonresident alien students and faculty, including multi-state tax filings.
- Manage banking functions, relationships, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct accounting and tax research, evaluate external support needs, and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - CPA certification and a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting, auditing, or financial reporting.
- Proficiency with automated accounting systems, spreadsheets, databases, and ERP platforms.
- Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
