Senior Director of Accounting

Kforce's client, a growing organization in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking a Senior Director of Accounting to lead key accounting functions, drive process improvements, and develop a high-performing team. This position will partner closely with finance, operations, and technology leaders while contributing to strategic initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and develop the accounting team while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement

* Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls

* Enhance processes, systems, and performance through optimization and automation initiatives

* Partner cross-functionally to support business objectives and strategic initiatives

* Provide financial insights and updates to senior leadership
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

* Professional certification preferred

* Significant progressive experience in accounting and financial leadership roles

* Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls

* Experience working with enterprise-level financial systems and technology platforms

* Demonstrated success leading teams and driving operational improvements

* Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced business environment

* Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills

* Strategic thinker with the ability to balance high-level planning and day-to-day execution
