- AB Mauri North America is seeking an exempt Accounting Manager – Internal Controls to strengthen financial and operational control frameworks across accounting and finance processes.
- This long-term contract role is based in St. Louis, MO and follows a hybrid schedule, with more onsite presence expected during the first 3–6 months.
- Lead the design, documentation, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of internal controls to support accurate financial reporting, policy compliance, and risk management.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end control activities, including balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, journal entry controls, and approval workflows.
- Partner with operations, IT, and audit teams to identify control gaps, monitor segregation of duties and access controls, and drive remediation of deficiencies.
- Support risk assessments and testing of key controls, including UK SOX controls where applicable, and provide training on control expectations and best practices.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, 7+ years of experience, strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, advanced Excel and financial systems skills, and strong stakeholder communication; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
