The Business Performance Specialist supports the activities of the MO Regulated Field Operations Support and Analysis department and interacts with Energy Delivery SVP, Directors, Ameren Controllers, and other personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Interact with leadership and engineering personnel in matters related to Energy Delivery budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare and submit the annual budget, research and advise on variances, and assist in preparing business cases for budgetary considerations.
- Produce and review internal financial/operational reports and create new automated reports.
- Prepare external regulatory filings with the Missouri Public Service Commission.
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, procedures, and controls.
- Analyze source systems and data to recommend process changes for consistency and improved reporting.
- Assist in developing department/segment procedures to ensure compliance with corporate policies.
- Serve on or lead cross-functional teams within the department and organization.
- Demonstrate technical subject‑matter expertise and/or overall business acumen.
- Assist the Manager with special projects, prepare specialized reports, and confidential documents.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required;
Master’s Degree or CPA/CMA/CFA preferred. Three or more years of relevant accounting experience required without an advanced degree or certification, or one or more year of relevant accounting experience required with Master’s Degree or CPA/CMA/CFA. - Senior Business Performance Specialist
:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required; five or more years of relevant accounting experience required. Master’s Degree or CPA/CMA/CFA preferred. - Proficiency:
Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Excel required; working knowledge of Ameren applications (UIP, General Ledger, Power Plant, IMR, EMPRV, Maximo, TRIS, etc.) preferred. - Skills:
Good organizational, problem‑solving, analytical, communication, and human‑relations skills required; ability to monitor reports, solve problems, be decisive, proactive, and self‑motivated; work independently on multiple tasks with priority setting and deadlines; initiative, attention to detail, and teamwork orientation.
Hybrid work arrangement available. Compensation range: $71,100.00 - $.
Base salary is a component of a competitive compensation package, with additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
Selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process.
