Overview

We are seeking a Tax Analyst II to join our Income Tax team, a core function supporting the firm’s financial reporting and compliance, and partner experience. This role is responsible for assistance with income tax filing and support.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare calculations supporting the firm’s income tax compliance across all applicable jurisdictions, including U.S. federal, U.S. state, and Canadian filings for domestic and Canadian partnerships and C-corporations.
  • Prepare monthly tax accruals and income tax provision calculations
  • Assist with the review and validation of income tax deliverables prepared internally and by third‑party service providers to ensure accuracy and completeness of core compliance
  • Utilize automation and data tools to prepare partnership tax returns and supporting work papers, ensuring accurate, timely, and scalable compliance processes
  • Extract, merge, transform, and reconcile data from multiple systems and sources to support income tax calculations (ASC 740), filings, and reconciliations
  • Provide income tax support to partnership accounting and partner services, responding to inquiries and assisting with issue resolution as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls, including the use of AI, automation, and data tools to enhance efficiency, consistency, and data quality

The Tax Analyst II will prepare and support assigned components of the work streams above and will continue to develop a strong foundation in U.S. federal and state tax principles. Success in this role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, effective collaboration and communication, attention to detail, and the ability to execute responsibilities in a timely manner.

What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Accounting or Finance strongly preferred
  • CPA or progress toward completion, is a plus
  • Two or more years of relevant tax experience preferred, ideally supporting complex entities
  • Public accounting experience is a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including the ability to work with complex formulas and large datasets
What Could Set You Apart
  • Experience with financial systems or analytics tools such as Oracle, People Soft Financials, Power BI (DAX), Tableau, or Alteryx
  • Working knowledge of partnership income tax concepts
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple priorities
  • Ability to learn and apply complex concepts in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
  • Interest in leveraging AI or automation tools to improve efficiency and data quality

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
