Senior Accountant

Beacon Hill Financial is seeking a Senior Accountant for our client in the St. Louis Metro Area. This role is Hybrid based and offers pay ranging from $38-$43 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Analyze financial results, identify budget-to-actual variances, and provide explanations
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, tenant receivables, security deposits, and escrow accounts
• Monitor and report on restricted funds, replacement reserves, and other financial accounts
• Partner with internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies and support reporting needs
• Review and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support
• Coordinate audit requests and work directly with external auditors
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
• Support property transitions, including opening and closing bank accounts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within property management
• Experience with Yardi preferred, but not required
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
