Responsibilities
Kforce is partnering with a client in the Saint Louis, MO area to identify a Manager of Accounting. In this role, you will lead and execute core accounting operations, ensuring an efficient and timely monthly close while maintaining accurate financial reporting and turning financial results into actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization. Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, and GAAP reporting
- Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Oversee an accountant, including goal setting, oversight, and performance evaluations
- Oversee fixed asset activities and capitalization, ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP
- Review software licenses, related accounts, and contracts for proper accounting treatment and compliance
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes and automation
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and external audit activities as needed
- Serve as an accounting liaison with corporate leadership, field locations, and external partners
- Perform financial analysis and ensure accurate monthly financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience, with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work independently and collaboratively, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows-based applications
- Progressive accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility, including team leadership, mentoring, or development
- Experience with large ERP/accounting systems
- Experience with fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliations
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

- Salaried personnel receive paid time off.
- Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
- Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
