We're looking for an Accountant focused on Accounts Payable who enjoys detailed work, values accuracy, and takes pride in keeping financial records organized and up to date. This role will be responsible for processing vendor invoices and payments, maintaining vendor accounts, supporting month-end activities, and helping ensure the integrity of our financial data.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable working with established processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy. You'll work closely with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies, ensure timely processing, and support efficient financial operations across the organization.
What You'll Do:- Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely
- Prepare and process vendor payments while maintaining internal controls
- Maintain vendor records and supporting documentation
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues
- Respond to vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies
- Maintain vendor tax documentation and assist with annual 1099 reporting
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Assist with audits by preparing and providing supporting documentation
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Partner with internal departments to ensure timely approvals and accurate financial records
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency
- Take pride in producing accurate, detailed, and high-quality work
- Stay organized and can manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Take ownership of your work and consistently follow through on commitments
- Communicate professionally and collaborate well with vendors and internal teams
- Approach discrepancies and challenges with curiosity, sound judgment, and a problem-solving mindset
- Value consistency, well-defined processes, and maintaining accurate financial records
- Are comfortable using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications to support efficient financial operations
