Responsibilities
Kforce is partnering with a client to find a Regulatory Staff Accountant in Saint Louis, MO that supports financial reporting, regulatory compliance, accounting operations, and financial analysis. This role ensures accurate financial records and regulatory filings while assisting with account reconciliations, data analysis, audits, and regulatory examinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and support periodic regulatory reports, filings, and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting activities, including account reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Research and resolve discrepancies across accounting, operational, and reporting systems
- Assist with audits, regulatory examinations, and requests for financial information and documentation
- Monitor regulatory and accounting requirements and support updates to processes and reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting issues, special projects, system implementations, financial analysis, and process improvements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience;
Regulated industry experience preferred - Experience with ERP or financial reporting systems;
Regulatory reporting or audit experience preferred - Strong knowledge of GAAP, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and month-end close
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle confidential financial information with discretion
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
