Swank Motion Pictures is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance team for Summer 2027. This internship is designed for a rising Sophomore or Junior pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment.
Throughout the summer, the intern will rotate between the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, gaining exposure to the full accounting cycle while learning how financial transactions support business operations. Working alongside experienced accounting professionals, the intern will develop practical skills in financial processes, internal controls, customer and vendor interactions, and reporting while contributing to meaningful projects that improve efficiency and accuracy.
ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable
- Assist with processing customer payments and maintaining accurate customer account records.
- Support account reconciliation and research payment discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections activities.
- Prepare customer invoices, credit memos, and related documentation.
- Help analyze aging reports and identify collection trends.
- Review and process vendor invoices for accuracy and timely payment.
- Assist with vendor statement reconciliations and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Support weekly payment processing.
- Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist with expense report review and documentation.
- Participate in month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis.
