The Role

We're excited to welcome a tax intern to our team for the upcoming 2027 tax season! If you thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy solving problems, and are eager to grow your accounting skills, this is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience in public accounting. As a tax intern, you'll be more than just support – you'll play an active role in helping our clients navigate complex tax matters with clarity and confidence.

You'll work closely with experienced professionals to prepare tax returns, organize client documentation, and contribute to meaningful client engagements across a variety of industries. Your work will help ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery, all while building a strong foundation for your future in accounting.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Preparation of business and individual tax returns for a variety of clients in varying industries
  • Complete tax related research and special projects as they arise
  • Learning the firm-specific tax processes and procedures
  • Obtain a working knowledge of firm technology: including the CCH suite for tax preparation and practice management, the Microsoft suite for internal firm communication, Safe Send, Adobe, and various other software and tools to perform the job efficiently
  • Attend and participate in firm-wide and department meetings
  • Participate in strategy sessions for client advisory meetings
Requirements
  • Minimum 90 credit hours completed; work toward Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Ability to commit to at least 24 hours per week on-site
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA preferred
  • Able to work in-office beginning in January through April
  • Must be a self-starter and possess a proactive personality
  • Ready and willing to accept various types of tax work
  • Must possess excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to take and follow direction, and work effectively on a team
