Accounting Manager

Location: St. Louis

Description Kforce's client, a growing multi-location organization located in the Saint Louis, MO area is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations and oversee the monthly close process. This on-site position offers the opportunity to partner closely with leadership, drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support the continued growth of the business. Duties:
* Accounting Manager will lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process across multiple entities
* Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, accuracy, and efficiency
* Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules
* Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries
* As an Accounting Manager, you will maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
* Coordinate external audits and ensure audit readiness
* Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives, growth efforts, and special projects Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, required
* 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
* Experience leading the month-end close process
* Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
* Experience with in a private company or industry environment is a plus
* Strong systems knowledge with experience supporting or improving financial systems preferred
