The Finance Supervisor is responsible for the Accounting Specialists responsible for payroll, accounts payable and/or accounts receivable activities. This position coordinates payroll processing, supports payroll-related reconciliations, reporting, tax and benefit-related transactions, and helps ensure appropriate internal controls, documentation, and confidentiality over payroll and financial data. The Finance Supervisor also performs Plans and or department-level accounting and reporting responsibilities, including reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, budget support, and preparation of financial information for management review.

This role partners closely with Finance leadership, Human Resources, internal departments, vendors, auditors, and other stakeholders to promote accurate financial operations, strong customer service, process consistency, and continuous improvement.

• Supervises Accounting Specialists responsible for payroll, accounts payable, and/or accounts receivable activities, including workload management, coaching, performance evaluation, staff development and issue resolution.
• Oversees payroll administration and compliance, including payroll processing, tax reporting, regulatory requirements, payroll-related accounting and reconciliations, resolution of complex payroll issues, and coordination of audits and external inquiries.
• Oversees accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, compliance with internal controls, effective vendor and customer management, and timely processing of transactions and cash receipts.
• Assists Accounting Manager in leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, supporting schedules, and financial analyses.
• Performs and reviews complex accounting analyses, including balance sheet reconciliations, income statement fluctuations, revenue and expense trends, and investigations of significant variances to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversees treasury activities, including bank reconciliations, cash position monitoring, cash flow forecasting, liquidity analysis, and funding recommendations.
• Prepares, reviews, and analyzes financial, management, budget, forecast, variance, and regulatory reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Coordinates budget development, monitoring, forecasting, and financial analysis for assigned departments, plans, and functional areas, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Partners with Finance leadership to support financial statement preparation, regulatory reporting, board reporting, and other organizational reporting requirements.
• Serves as a key resource to Human Resources, department leaders, auditors, financial institutions, vendors, and regulatory agencies regarding accounting, payroll, compliance, reporting, and financial operations matters.
