Under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean for Health & Movement Science, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for the duties necessary to operate the School of Health & Movement Science efficiently. This position requires a self-motivated individual with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Essential Responsibilities
Maintains the School of Health & Movement Science equipment, resources, and records, keeping them secure and private.
Assists with budgetary matters within the School of Health & Movement Science.
Assist with accreditation reports, as directed by the Associate Dean.
Schedule departmental meetings, create the agenda, and prepare meeting minutes.
Coordinate internal events and trainings, such as staff celebrations and professional development sessions, including scheduling, logistics, and materials preparation.
Periodically updates the School of Health & Movement Science website, social media, university undergraduate catalog, and graduate bulletin sections and databases as directed by the Associate Dean.
Organizes and conducts School of Movement & Health Science events and assists with promotional displays and materials, as directed.
Minimum Requirements
* A high school diploma or the equivalent and two years of general office experience or an equivalent combination of education and general office experience is required.
* Statement of faith that includes a description of a relationship with Jesus Christ, active participation in a local church, and a commitment to perform duties in a manner consistent with and not contrary to the University's Statement of Faith which is the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
Preferred Experience
Microsoft Office Specialist certification or similar certification.
