Student Affairs Desk Assistant
As a Student Affairs Desk Assistant within the Student Affairs Suite at Maryville University, individuals in this role will assist and support the day-to-day operations of the Student Affairs Suite and its staff. This position involves providing a professional, helpful, and welcoming atmosphere for faculty, staff, students, families, and visitors, as well as assisting with various administrative and event-related tasks. Students will gain valuable experience in customer service, project management, and general office duties.
Job Responsibilities- Provide a professional, helpful, and welcoming atmosphere for faculty, staff, students, families, and visitors to the Student Affairs Suite (located in the Donius University Center)
- Greet customers on a regular basis and assist them with various needs
- Answer phone calls and transfer to the appropriate office/staff member
- Ensure the Student Life Suite is always neat and orderly
- Support all professional staff housed within the Student Affairs Suite and Center for Student Engagement & Belonging at all times including but not limited to the Vice President for Student Affairs, Dean of Campus Life, Dean of Student Wellness, and Chief of Staff
- Assist with various event programming tasks
- Maintain organization and inventory of Student Affairs Suite items in storage
- Assist with campus events when schedule allows
- Deliver documents and materials across campus as needed
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned

- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Canva, preferred GetInvolvedMU skillset
Position Pay: $15/hr
Hours per week: 10 hrs
