Admissions Administrative Assistant & School Store Manager
The Admissions Administrative Assistant & School Store Manager manages School application and registration-related systems, maintaining and developing the relationship between families and Principia throughout the Admissions application process, monitoring progress, and assisting Associate Directors and families to complete the student's application for consideration by the Admissions Committee. Provides general expertise, awareness, and oversight regarding candidate and current family custody-related status, issues, and systems documentation.
Performs a wide range of administrative duties and office support-related tasks, while demonstrating exceptional skills in the areas of organization, communication, attention to detail, flexibility, and customer service; enjoys the administrative challenges of supporting a team and is capable of interacting with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
Primary Responsibilities
Admissions Office Manager
- Assists applicant families through the admissions cycle
- Manages the application system, assists applicant families in navigation, problem solves technical issues with logging in and accounts, and ensures integrity of related data in admissions portal and Banner
- Develops and maintains a high-end user-level of expertise on data systems and related tools such as Banner, Slate, Argos, Blackbaud and Data Transfer systems
- Collects, maintains, and verifies completeness of legal and custody documentation in accordance with institution policy
- Leads the planning, preparation, logistics, and execution of all admissions events, including open houses, visit days, receptions, virtual events, and special programs
- Coordinates cross-campus resources, manages event communications and logistics, and ensures a welcoming, high-quality experience that supports enrollment goals.
School Store Manager
- Oversees daily store operations, including merchandising, sales, inventory, and customer experience
- Develops, implements, and maintains operational policies to ensure efficiency, consistency, and compliance with Principia guidelines
- Recruits, trains, schedules, and supervises student workers and parent volunteers, fostering accountability and a safe work environment
- Manages inventory levels, product selection, and ordering to align with school branding and community needs
- Oversees point-of-sale processes, cash handling, and daily sales reconciliation
- Prepares accurate financial reports, monitor revenue trends, and ensures adherence to budgeting and accounting procedures
- Coordinates store hours and offerings to meet student, faculty, and community needs
- Partners with the Business Office to ensure proper financial tracking, timely deposits, and policy compliance

Minimum Qualifications
- Student of Christian Science preferred
- Supportive of Principia's guiding statements as articulated here
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong computer and database skills, including experience with CRM/database management, data entry, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word), and Adobe InDesign.
- Ability to learn and maintain high-end user expertise with Slate CRM, SCT Banner software, Blackbaud K-12, Data Transfer, and Argos systems.
